Ward 2 CouncilOct 28
Roads that work. Taxes that make sense. A council that listens.

Ward 2 is a thriving agricultural area with a strong rural community. I'm running to make sure both agriculture and rural residents continue to thrive. Ratepayers will be heard, and every tax dollar will show up as something you can see.

Why I'm running

Ward 2 First

I'm not here to tell you what you need. I'm here to ask. My priorities are simple: fix the roads and drainage we already have, tie any tax increase to real results, and make sure you hear about big decisions before they're made, not after.

The same issues have come up in every RM election since 2018: roads and drainage without a long-term plan, growth pressure next to Steinbach, and residents learning about decisions too late. It's time to deal with them directly.

The platform

My five priorities for Ward 2

Roads and drainage first

Maintenance comes before new projects.

  • I'll push for a public multi-year road, ditch and culvert plan for Ward 2, with a priority list you can see.
  • I'll push for an easy way to report washouts, blocked culverts and grading problems, with published fix times.
  • I'll push for spring flood and drainage checks before seeding, working with local farmers.

Respect for your tax dollar

You're an owner, not an ATM.

  • I'll tie every tax increase to specific, named results.
  • I'll work to rebuild reserves after the 2026 drawdown, and I won't support new debt without a public meeting.

Agriculture and rural residents, working together

I want agriculture to keep thriving in the RM of Ste. Anne.

  • I'll protect farmland and promote new housing in planned growth areas.
  • I'll plan road work with farming needs in mind.
  • I'll help grow agri-business on the RM's commercial lots, so equipment dealers, processors and farm services keep dollars here.

No surprises

I'll listen before deciding.

  • I'll hold a Ward 2 town hall at least twice a year and send you a quarterly update.
  • I'll push for direct notice to neighbours before any zoning or conditional-use hearing, not just legal ads.
  • I'll hold evening office hours before every budget vote.

A safe, healthy community

  • I'll push for a stronger RCMP presence.
  • I'll hold the province to its 2027 timeline for fixing the Highway 210/12 intersection.
  • I'll back a 24/7 emergency room at Hôpital Sainte-Anne and support our volunteer firefighters and the Giroux fire hall's new tanker.

  4. I'll bring a motion for direct notice to neighbours on land-use hearingsFirst 6 months

  6. I'll publish a report card on these promisesOne year after the election
2022 Ward 2 result

That was the winning margin in Ward 2 last time. A handful of neighbours decides this seat. Make sure you're one of them.
